Saturday colourful MOTD

Hello my little buttons!!

Hope your all having a lovely Saturday! Thought I’d share my makeup look for the day, I’ve got lots of new goodies I’m testing out and will be blogging about as soon as I have a firm opinion on them.

Here are the products I’m trying out today, from left to right:

1. Gosh Velvet Touch Eyeliner in the shade 020 fashionista (dark metallic blue)

2. Collection Define & Perfect eyebrow powder in the shade blonde 1

3. Maybelline Lash Sensational, lash multiplying Mascara.

4. Collection Prime & Ready mattifying pore minimising primer powered by witch hazel

5. MUA Luxe bronze & Sculpt Contour Kit

I felt like going bright and colourful to match my colourful summer dress. As the Eyeliner I’m testing out is a dark metallic blue I decided to pull out out my trusty Makeup Revolution mermaids vs Unicorns eyeshadow palette. The colours are so vibrant amd pigmented it never let’s me down!

As I’m using a mattifying pore minimising primer I wanted to use a matte foundation. One of my all time favourites is the L’oreal Infallible Matte, as I used it all the time I know how it wear s throughout the day so thought this would be the perfect way to test a new primer.

Here are all the products I used for my look today.

I’d love to hear in the comments below what products your really into right now!

MeMeMe Enchanted Eyes Dual Ended Wand Review

Hello my little buttons!

I received this chunky eyeshadow/eyeliner pencil in a glossy box recently. Love that it’s duel ended and the metallic blues are just gorgeous as you can see. I love colourful make up but if I’m in a rush it can be fairly time consuming so this seemed like a great solution for quick blue eyes.

I primed my eyes like normal, I used the darker shade under my waterline and the lighter blue on the lids using my finger to blend it out slightly. First impression love it, super quick and easy to apply blends nicely, perfect colours.

Within 20 minutes this happened….

Seriously, within 20 minutes!!!!  Creased, faided just absolutely awful!! As I had the school run to do I popped on my sun glasses to hide the horror and went on my way. At least with my eyes open it looked fairly ok.

Within another hour even the blue underneath was smearing everywhere, it was like food dye trying to cover every inch of my face. It was getting in my eyes and overall if im totally honest… Looked like crap. I literally had to remove it all, it couldn’t be saved and by this point my eyes were stinging. More joy of joys it STAINED MY EYES. I was in the middle of tesco toilets with baby wipes scrubbing like a crazy person. The blue tinge would not budge, I looked like I had been punched in the face. Not a great look while doing the weekly food shop. Thankfully when I got home, with makeup remover I managed to get most of it but there was defiantly a light tinge still left.

I will never use this product again, so disappointing as I really thought it would be a staple in my collection. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this product, please subscribe for more reviews like this!

Makeup Revolution Mermaids Vs Unicorns Eyeshadow Palette

Here is the Makeup Revolution, Mermaids vs Unicorns eyeshadow palette which costs £4…yes you read right, £4!!! I love colourful makeup, the greens pink purples and blues really gets my heart racing! This palette has been well thought out, you can use a combination of nearly anything in this palette and it’ll look stunning. The shadows are bright, pigmented and blend well, amazing quality for the price. What nice as well is you can go in light for a gentle wash of colour or pack it on with your finger or a damp brush for a vibrant more full on look. There’s metalics and shimmers, there are a couple of matte shades with a fine glitter running through them that actually shows up on the skin. I like the fact the lid of the palette is clear so while I’m rumaging in my draws its easy to find, it would of been nice if it was maybe half clear half mirror but that’s not the end of the world. I also think it’s a shame there isn’t a cream or a brown to neutralise some of the colours on application but then again I love every shade in this palette i wouldn’t want to sacrifice any of them! I adore this palette so if you love colour or feel like being brave, give it a try! Here are some looks I achieved with this palette xxx

Jaclyn Hill Favourites Palette by Morphe Brushes

Let’s just take a minute to look at this beauty!! As soon as I heard this palette was coming round again I jumped on the chance, after hearing all the reviews last time I couldn’t let this slip away. Even if I did have to pay nearly the price of the palette to get it shipped here! It was so worth it, the colour selection is perfection there are so many different looks you can do with this just looking at it makes me feel so inspired! Here are the swatches:

The shadows are soft, smooth, pigmented, they blend beautifully and there are several shades I’ve not seen anything like before. I’ve really enjoyed playing around with different colours and looks, it’s a super fun palette, you can go natural to smokey to colourful it has a bit of everything. As much as this palette is now a staple in my collection I have a few small criticisms. Firstly there’s a lot of fall out, which doesn’t massively bother me as even my urban decay shadows have fall out but I know it would bother a lot of people. I just make sure I do my eyes first before doing my foundation etc. Secondly, the packaging is rather flimsy, I actually keep it in its box just incase!! It’s also a shame it’s not got Jaclyn Hill on the front, even just her name would of been good! Last moan is, it’s not got a matte white, cream or light pink so I usually have to reach for another palette too. Mini moan over lol!! Apart from these little niggly things it’s still in my top 3 favourite palettes of all time! If you can get your hands on it, do it you will not regret it! To finish off here are some photos of the looks I have created with it so far. Lots of love xxx #lovethebutton
